York is a large district made up of smaller, eclectic neighbourhoods. Eglinton Avenue West is known as “Little Jamaica” for its Caribbean restaurants and shops, and the St. Clair West area has a mix of hip and old-school eateries. Along the Humber River, trails and green spaces include Etienne Brulé Park, popular for watching the salmon run in fall, and James Gardens, with floral blooms and a duck pond.
