At Pedal Power we're, "Big enough to serve you, small enough to know you".
Pedal Power Bike & Ski was founded so long ago (1975), that the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail had not even been proposed! But it's here now, right behind our store. We have a hand's free door for easy access from the Trail, a handy bathroom, and a dedicated handicapped parking space right on it.
We stock and service lots of bicycles of course, but the most important thing we do is fitting. It really doesn't matter how good the bike is if it doesn’t fit properly. That's why we started studying the art of fitting in 1978, and we've kept it up to this day. We try to do basic fitting with every bike we sell. For more precise results we use the most advanced cycle fitting system in existence: the computerized and motorized GURU Dynamic Fit Unit.
We’ve done multiple bicycle fit training courses from Trek, Specialized, Serotta and GURU. We’ve studied with the fitter who was chosen to fit President Bush at Camp David, the person who introduced the concept of medical fitting, the man who popularized the idea of triathlon, and a fitter of both male and female triathlon world champions. Of course, most of our “fittees” are regular folks who want to be more comfortable, faster, or both.
We sell road bikes, mountain bikes, fat bikes, fitness bikes, comfort bikes, dual use bikes, triathlon bikes, hybrids and kids bikes as well as adult trikes and folding bikes. Whew! We stock e-bikes from Trek, Specialized and Electra, as well as the critically acclaimed e-bike conversion Copenhagen Wheel.
Of course we also have all the cycling goodies you might want: helmets, shorts, jerseys, shoes , water bottles, ... and pretty much anything else you can think of.
And when the snow starts to fly we’d like to be your headquarters for cross-country skiing. We stock Nordic skis, boots and poles from Salomon, as well as a full array of X-C accessories. For you Alpine skiers and snowboarders, we also have hi-tech Montana sharpening and waxing machines. And, like many of you, we look forward to seeing what can be done with snow this winter on the Bruce Freeman Trail.
At Pedal Power, “We’re serious about cycling fun.”
